A Chilean mayor wants to hand out free potency pills to older people ... the start of the communist revolution there led by former president Fidel Castro.
The former president did not attend the celebrations of the storming of the Moncada barracks in Santiago on 26 July 1953. Instead, his brother and current Cuban President Raul Castro gave a speech to 10,000 invited guests telling them Cuba would be prepared to defend itself militarily regardless of who is elected as US president in November. He also warned of economic hardships ahead due to spiralling world food costs. The 48-minute speech did not include any references to new reforms.
